THE BRAND
Spiller's Rock sits on the northeast portion of Twillingate, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. It's a small island along a dramatic and rugged coastline. French Head Trail takes hikers through the area. Twillingate captures the hearts and minds of many visitors each year. The artist began fishing at this location as a boy and the area is a common subject in his work.
THE PRINTMAKER
Spiller's Rock Studio features the art of Troy Mitchell. Troy has sketched throughout his life and was introduced to printmaking in 2019. Troy carves images into lino before inking and printing. Over the past two years he has developed his metal embossing art practice and introduced a metal art jewelry collection in 2024. His subjects are the land and sea of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Art in all forms is Troy's creative pursuit, a departure from his roles as a healthcare manager, leadership coach, and private practice therapist.
